A jewel indeed! I was fascinated and my expectations exceeded at the sight of this incredible waterfall. It is considered one of the tallest waterfalls in Nigeria, with an estimated height of about 120 meters (394 feet). •Can be accessed through a trail in the forest, which involves bike rides and moderate trekking •Wear appropriate footwear and stay hydrated •Access fee is 500NGN per person •Bike ride to and fro the waterfalls lasts for about 2hours and costs between 6,000-8,000NGN per person •It’s advisable to go in groups for more fun and safe feeling.

On the 13th of May in the year 2023. I left home in group and embark on the journey to Owu waterfall located in Owu Isin in kwara state. It was really a great experience and great adventure, it's a journey of about 3 hours walk throw and flow of no stopping and no waiting from where our bases were parked at to the waterfall.

My experience to Owu fall was a sweet and beautiful one, came in with lots of energy... A fee of 500 naira per person(March 2023) to see the fall is paid at the village that leads to the fall. I will advise that one goes there well before noon. The road to the waterfall from the village is actually a bad road. A car can travel to an extent then one can hike the rest or one can take a bike straight from the village. It is the highest water fall in West Africa, It has a water collection (pool) at the base that one can dive in to but not too deep tho. It has a well sunlit environment. The water is not quite clean but it's not sandy. I got to sit inside a rainbow...I was encircled by a rainbow.

Second time at the fall but still feels special. It is a magnificent fall. The road to the fall is quite bumpy, going with a bike will make it faster rather than hiking, if you want to skip the hard part. Otherwise it is just down the straight road. The bike ride was around 20 to 25 minutes. The first time i was there, i did the hike. Very easy to locate. It is the most popular fall in the area even though there are some other falls around, majority don't know about the others. The experience is surreal. Everyone should visit.
