Lalibela Eco Trekking is a locally owned trekking and cultural travel company built around one idea: Ethiopia should be experienced, not just visited. We organize journeys across the highlands, heritage sites, and rural landscapes with a focus on real routes, real people, and real conditions on the ground. Our Origin Founded in 2012 in Lalibela, now operating from Addis Ababa, the company began as a small guiding effort for travelers who wanted something beyond standard sightseeing. Over time, that work expanded into structured trekking and cultural travel across northern Ethiopia — including remote highlands, village routes, and heritage corridors that are not part of typical tour circuits. What remains unchanged is the approach: field-based guiding, not office-based tourism design.
