Mussiro Trips

Mussiro refers to root, a sought-after forest special treasure that is mainly used in Northern Mozambique as a cure for diseases, for decorative purposes and also as to treat skin. It was also traditionally used by young women as a symbol to preserve their chastity. Today even the current generations embrace Mussiro; a tradition that was started by their great grandparents. We picked the name Mussiro for our trips because we are committed to exposing the roots of Mozambique and not only it’s superficial face. We are committed to making you feel at home through the safety and comfort of our expeditions while at the same time give you the natural and local flavor and embrace the diversity Mozambique has to offer.
