The following policies are provided directly by Origin Wildlife Safaris . Please review them before confirming your booking.
To confirm your booking, a 30% deposit of the total tour cost is required. The deposit can be made securely online via credit/debit card or through direct bank transfer.
The remaining 70% balance can be paid upon arrival in either USD, EUR, GBP, or Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) in cash. Please note that all card payments attract a 3.5% processing surcharge.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Refunds are processed based on notice prior to departure:
- 60+ days: 85% refund (15% admin fee retained)
- 30 to 59 days: 50% refund
- 15 to 29 days: 25% refund
- Under 14 days: Non-refundable
We strongly advise all travelers to purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellations.
Tipping in East Africa is voluntary but deeply appreciated as a reward for quality service. Recommended guidelines:
- Safari Driver/Guide: $15 - $20 USD per day per vehicle (shared among travelers)
- Private Camp / Lodge Staff: $10 - $15 USD per day into the communal tip box
- Kilimanjaro Mountain Crew: Lead Guide ($15–$20/day), Cook ($10–$15/day), Porters ($8–$10/day per porter).
At Origin Wildlife Safaris, we welcome families to experience the magic of Africa.
- Children under 2 years: Free of charge.
- Children aged 3 to 11 years: Receive a 30% to 50% discount when sharing a room with two paying adults.
- Children 12 years and older: Charged at adult rates.
Please note that certain private concessions or walking safaris have a minimum age limit of 12 years for safety reasons.
Our standard tour package rates are calculated based on double occupancy (two people sharing a room/tent). Solo travelers or individuals requesting a private room will incur a Single Supplement fee ranging between 20% and 35%, depending on the specific lodge choices and seasonal rates.
Included in our Safaris: Unlimited mileage on game drives in private 4x4 Land Cruisers with pop-up roofs, experienced English-speaking driver/guide, all national park fees, transit fees, accommodation, full-board meals, and bottled drinking water throughout the trip. Excluded: International flights, visas, travel insurance, alcoholic beverages, and discretionary tips.
