Peri Peri Divers

I spent two weeks at Peri Peri - Morrungulo as part of my Divemaster training and learned more in that short time than I thought possible. The diving here is truly special. You really feel like you're exploring an untouched part of the world. Many dive destinations around the world have heavy boat traffic and, unfortunately, signs of reef decline. Morrungulo is the complete opposite. The reefs are pristine, fish life is abundant, and you're diving in an environment that feels wild and unspoiled. During my stay I was lucky enough to see manta rays, tiger sharks, leopard sharks and eagle rays, all in spectacular conditions. Add to that miles of beautiful beach with hardly anyone around, and it feels like a hidden gem. The accommodation is excellent, just a short walk from the beach, and the food was some of the best I had in Mozambique. Despite being there for two weeks, there was always something new and creative on the menu thanks to the fantastic chefs. A huge thank you to Steve and Martina, who were incredibly welcoming and make an amazing team. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel completely at home. Negatives: Steve is a Manchester United fan. I can't recommend Peri Peri Morrungulo highly enough and would love to return one day.

I couldn't be more grateful to all the people at Peri Peri in Morrungulo. They simply made us have the best day of our lives regarding wildlife encounters. Thanks a lot to Martina, Steve and all the staff for giving us the opportunity to have such a magnificent experience. The dives were out of this world, we saw many sharks (leopards, white tips, grey, hammerheads), bowmouth guitarfish, reef and oceanic mantas, giant groupers, turtles, fantail stingray, etc, all of that in 2 dives. But the main event was of course the luck of swimming with humpback whales, something we will never forget. They are very knowledgeable, they know exactly how they behave, how to be in the water when these majestic animals are around, what to do and what not do, all of it without stressing them or interfering in a negative way. Moreover, the lodge is amazing, with great views of a paradisiacal beach. I cannot recommend Peri Peri at Morrungulo hard enough. Thanks a lot for making a dream come true.
