The Tour Operators’ Union of Ghana (TOUGHA) is the body representing tour operators in the country. TOUGHA is incorporated as a Limited by Guarantee Entity by the Registrar General’s Department of Ghana in accordance with the Companies’ Act of 1963 (Act 179) and recognized by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) is also a member of the Ghana Tourism Federation (GHATOF) and affiliated to other continental and global tourism organizations.
TOUGHA is set up to pursue the following specific objectives, as listed below:
To bring together registered tour operators and foster good working relationships among them.
To influence tourism legislation
To contribute to tourism development and ensure high standards in the quality of tourism products and services
To create awareness for domestic tourism
To liaise with international institutions for the development of tourism and culture in Ghana.
Since our incorporation in the year 2000, our strategies have involved advocacy actions, capacity building and sensitizations programmes, investments in local infrastructure for the promotion of practices that a culturally sensitive and progressive as well as economically viable and ecologically sustainable.

We are committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and quality performance in the travel and tourism industry and to create an enabling environment for the growth and recognition of its members and the Union as a whole.

To be recognised locally, at the regional and international levels as the Premier Union of all certified Tour Operators in Ghana.
