About Umubano Tours

At Umubano Tours, we believe travel is most powerful when it builds relationships — between people, cultures, and nature. Founded in Rwanda and rooted in the meaning of our name, “Umubano” (Relationship), we specialize in immersive, ethical journeys across East Africa. What started as a small community initiative has grown into a purpose-driven tour company guiding travelers through Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo — all while empowering the people who make these destinations so special.
