17-day customized tour with WorldSun Travel Ethiopia I booked a 17-day customized tour with WorldSun Travel Ethiopia. Overall, the route and destinations were great and tailored to my requests. However, several important issues significantly affected the experience: During the Abuna Yemata climb, 5 EUR were taken from my bag by local helpers and later handed to the tour guide. The guide never returned the money. This raises serious concerns about the integrity of the people the agency works with. The quality of the guides in the Simien Mountains was far below expectations and not professional. Near Bahir Dar, monasteries included in the itinerary were skipped under the excuse of “security concerns” and alleged government closure. Local checks showed this was not true. One hotel transfer was never provided. After waiting 45 minutes and being told “it will arrive any moment,” I had to take a taxi myself. In Addis Ababa, the Mercato market was excluded from the city tour with the claim that it was closed that day. A quick online check showed it operates daily. The itinerary itself was good, but execution, transparency, and reliability were inconsistent. I would recommend this agency only to very experienced travelers who are ready to double-check everything on the ground and handle issues themselves.

Great Itinerary, Stronger boundaries needed Negasi provided a great itinerary and handled frequent changes well, with super fast and responsive communication. The trip ran smoothly, and we were introduced to amazing and safe drivers and guides along the way. A special mention to Elyas 1 & 2, Semere (keeping us alive in the Danakil Depression), and KB, to name a few. While the experience was very positive overall, greater professionalism and clearer boundaries with clients would further improve it. Keeping interactions direct and strictly client-based would help avoid unnecessary discomfort. For accommodation, I recommend doing careful research in Axum, as hotel standards vary. Avoid Yared Zema. Haile Hotel (both Addis and Arba Minch) and Gheralta Lodge were phenomenal. If possible, try to stay two nights at Gheralta Lodge, it’s perfect for unwinding after the trip.They just need to introduce a spa center. I would still recommend Negasi and his team to travelers and adventurers alike looking for a reliable source to explore Ethiopia.

His professional approach and excellent organization ensured that everything ran smoothly while his deep knowledge enriched every place visited. Beyond that , his sincerity in sharing personal insigths and his genuine interest in our 11 persons group created a warm and trusting atmosphere. He showed great care for everyone , always ready to help and answer questions on any topic. His passion for his country and for guiding truly made a difference. I higly recommend the tourist agency he work for and him without hesitation.

Wonderful 4 Days Gheralta tour and 3 Days Danakil Depression We did the 4 Days Gheralta tour and 3 Days Danakil Depression tour with World Sun Ethiopia Tours team and everything run as expected -> Wonderful! :-) Mr. Negasi organized everything and was very helpful in all the questions and topics we made! As well as, all guides and drivers! For example, one day before our flight to Mek'ele to start Danakil Depression tour, there was a high risk of flight cancellation, but Mr. Negasi did everything in his power to overcome these problems.
