Depart from Addis Ababa in the morning and drive toward Wenchi Crater Lake via Weliso, enjoying views of the Ethiopian countryside along the way. Upon arrival, complete the arrangements with the local community tourism office. Continue toward the lake by hiking along the trail or taking a horse ride. Enjoy the scenery of the crater and surrounding highlands as you descend toward the lake. At the lakeshore, board a boat to Debre Island and visit the historic Kirkos Church. After exploring the island, return by boat to the lakeshore. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the lake and take a walk along the shore. Afterwards, hike or take a horse ride back toward the crater rim before beginning the drive back to Addis Ababa.
