1 Day Rwanda Safari – Akagera National Park Day Trip

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport at approximately 5:00 AM. Drive east towards Akagera National Park, a journey of about 2½ hours through Rwanda's picturesque countryside. Upon arrival, begin an exciting game drive across the park's rolling hills, open savannah, woodlands, lakes, and wetlands. During your safari you may encounter: African elephants Lions Buffaloes Rhinos Leopards Masai giraffes Zebras Topis Impalas Warthogs Hippos Nile crocodiles Olive baboons Over 500 bird species Enjoy lunch at Akagera Game Lodge overlooking the beautiful landscape. In the afternoon, you may choose to take an optional boat cruise on Lake Ihema, where you'll observe large pods of hippos, crocodiles, African fish eagles, kingfishers, and many other water birds. Later, begin your drive back to Kigali, arriving in the early evening. You will be dropped off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport.
