4-Day Budget Tour to Tsingy of Bemaraha, Kirindy and Baobab

6:30 AM – Manambolo River Gorge Start the morning with a game drive to the riverbank, followed by a 1.5-hour canoe excursion through the spectacular Manambolo River Gorge. Admire dramatic cliffs, stalactite formations, caves, river birds, and, with some luck, crocodiles. Discover the fascinating ancestral tombs of the Sakalava people along the gorge. Morning to Afternoon – Big Tsingy of Bemaraha Continue to Big Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park, about one hour from the hotel. Explore its extraordinary limestone formations, beginning with a climb to Cathedral Rock for breathtaking panoramic views. Cross the impressive suspension bridges and search for endemic wildlife, including Sifaka and Brown lemurs. Late Afternoon – Sunset at Small Tsingy Optional visit to Small Tsingy for sunset, offering beautiful views and changing colors over the Manambolo River Gorge before returning to Bekopaka.

7:00 AM – Journey to Kirindy Forest Depart Bekopaka and retrace the scenic route towards Belo sur Tsiribihina, travelling through remote landscapes and traditional villages. Enjoy lunch in Belo before crossing the Tsiribihina River by ferry and continuing towards Kirindy Forest. Afternoon – Arrival and Check in Continue through Madagascar’s dry western landscapes to Kirindy Forest, one of the country’s most remarkable wildlife areas. Check in at the lodge and enjoy some time to relax before the evening adventure. 6:00 PM – Night Safari As darkness falls, set out on an exciting night safari through the dry forest. Keep watch for Madagascar’s fascinating nocturnal wildlife, including the elusive fossa, the island’s top predator, as well as sportive lemurs, fork marked lemurs, and tiny mouse lemurs. The forest comes alive after sunset, offering a truly unique wildlife experience.

7:00 AM – Kirindy Forest Exploration Begin the morning with a guided walk through Kirindy Forest, accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide. Explore the dry forest and search for fascinating daytime wildlife, including the Red-fronted Lemur and the iconic Verreaux’s Sifaka, famous for its distinctive “dancing” movements. Keep an eye out for endemic birds and unique plants along the trails. 12:00 PM – Lunch and Relaxation Return to the hotel for lunch and some time to relax. Afternoon – Baobab Discovery Set off towards Morondava and discover the magnificent Sacred Baobab and Baobab in Love before reaching the iconic Avenue of the Baobabs. Enjoy a spectacular sunset among these majestic trees. Evening – Morondava Continue to Morondava and arrive at the hotel in the evening. End of services.
