The Foumban Royal Palace, located in Foumban, Cameroon, is the residence of the Bamum Sultan and a significant cultural landmark. Constructed in 1917, the palace showcases a blend of Islamic and indigenous architectural styles. It houses the Palace Museum, which presents the history of the Bamum dynasty from 1394 to the present, including artifacts from notable kings such as Ibrahim Njoya, who developed the Bamum script in the late 19th century.
The Bamoun royal palace is an architectural work which is in perspective the creative genius of the Bamoun dynasty. A people whose artistic talent is recognized throughout the world, the new palace is just a glimpse of their creative genius

A place full of history. It is good to precise that some gestures are not allowed there due to the presence of the king in the palace. It is literally a state inside a state. Nice to know an other culture
