Africabig5safaris & Tours

Just the most amazing experience not only for myself but for my partner and our 5 year old who will have the most amazing show and tell when he returns back to school , Benny aka Danger your humour along side you knowledge made sure there wasn’t a dull moment aslo to include your bravery and reverse skills when that charging elephant Bull came within a whisker of us .

Johan is organized, knowledgeable and flexible. And he drove A LOT and is very good at it! We loved our itinerary!

Had a great tour with Johan covering South Africa, Eswatini, Mozambique and Lesotho. Johan was flexible with my itinerary requirements, threw in a couple of additional items at no extra cost and magnificently handled any issue that was thrown at him (none of them his fault) with minimal impact to us. Would fully recommend booking a trip with Africabig5safaris & tours.

An unforgettable experience! We managed everything via WhatsApp, which was 100% secure and highly recommended. It's a personalized service, and they were attentive to your needs throughout the trip. The campsite is incredibly comfortable, with everything you could need, from a supermarket to ATMs, and the food was fantastic. We even managed to see the Big Five. If I had the chance to return, I would choose them again.

We had an absolutely unforgettable journey with Johan and AfricaBig5Safaris & Tours, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the very first day, Johan was exceptional. His driving skills across long distances, mountain passes, border crossings, and challenging terrain were outstanding and made us feel safe and relaxed throughout. He navigated everything with calm confidence, professionalism, and deep local knowledge. The itinerary was incredibly well curated, taking us through Kruger National Park, Mozambique, Eswatini, and Lesotho, and covering a remarkable range of experiences. Highlights included unforgettable game drives in Kruger, cultural experiences in Eswatini, the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, the Nelson Mandela Capture Site, Howick Falls, the uKhahlamba Drakensberg mountains, Sani Pass, the highest pub in Southern Africa, and the spectacular landscapes of Lesotho. Every day felt thoughtfully planned, balanced, and meaningful. What truly set Johan apart, though, was his warmth, generosity, and genuine care. He went well beyond being a guide or driver, sharing stories, history, humour, and insights that brought each place to life. He was attentive to our needs, flexible when plans needed adjusting, and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying the experience. This trip felt personal, authentic, and deeply memorable. If you’re looking for a safari and Southern Africa tour that combines professionalism, safety, rich experiences, and genuine human connection, AfricaBig5Safaris & Tours is an excellent choice. We would travel with Johan again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Johan, for an incredible journey we’ll never forget.
