A wonderful family trip organized by Seck, who welcomed us with generous hospitality. The cook, Bowlé, and the two drivers, Sidi Ahmed and Salek, accompanied us with great care, professionalism, and attentiveness.

We spent 7 days with Atar Voyage in Mauritania. Seck, the manager, is incredibly friendly, and we were able to easily arrange meetings with him to discuss our plans. He's very accommodating and has become a good friend. Our driver, Dellahi, made the trip an unforgettable experience with his humor, excellent organization, and friendliness. He, too, has become a good friend! Our route took us from Nuakchott to Azoueiga, Terjit, Chinguetti, Tanouchert, and Ouadane, before returning to Atar. These places are well worth visiting. The landscapes are incredibly impressive and will leave you in awe for a long time. I especially loved Tanouchert, as it offers an authentic glimpse into Mauritanian culture. I highly recommend Atar Voyage to anyone planning a trip to Mauritania. Thank you for everything, and see you next time!

We had a wonderful 7-day personalized trek in the Terjit Desert near Azoueiga and a 4-day excursion to the Banc d'Arguin, organized by Atar Voyage. I would like to thank the agency manager and the staff of Atar Voyage (guide, cook, driver, and camel drivers) who allowed us to discover the beauty of their country in an authentic way. The Atar Voyage team is professional, genuine, kind, attentive, and very respectful of nature. Their organization and logistics were top-notch! This country is magnificent, and the Mauritanians are very welcoming, always smiling, and very funny! If you want to travel in a truly authentic way and have unforgettable experiences, I highly recommend Atar Voyage.

I worked with Atar Voyages while preparing for and carrying out my desert walk in Mauritania, and I honestly couldn’t have done it without them. From the start, everything was handled with calm professionalism and deep local knowledge. What made the experience stand out was how flexible and grounded they were — this wasn’t a packaged tour, but real support for a serious desert project. A special mention has to go to Sek, who was instrumental in making the whole thing possible. His experience in the desert, understanding of camels, routes, water points, and local conditions was invaluable. He was patient, generous with his knowledge, and genuinely invested in making sure I was prepared and safe, not just ticking boxes. From camel training and logistics to advice on desert travel, water, camping, and nomadic life, Atar Voyages helped at every stage and always found solutions when things changed — which they inevitably do in the Sahara. If you’re looking to experience Mauritania beyond surface-level tourism, especially anything involving the desert, camels, or off-grid travel, I’d strongly recommend Atar Voyages and Sek. They made an ambitious journey feel possible, grounded, and respectful of the land and its people.
