Baobab Tour

We booked the grand island tour on June 14th. We were so impressed with Franca that we immediately booked the "Wild East" tour on June 16th. It's clear Franca loves Cape Verde, and especially Boa Vista. She's lived here so long that she knows practically every detail. What's particularly nice is that there's no time pressure at the numerous stops, giving you the feeling that the tour is completely personalized. We also really enjoyed visiting the pottery workshop and a small general store. This supports the local people and their work. We saw areas that are impossible to reach with a rental car. A meal (at a local restaurant) is included in the price of both tours. The tours start around 9:00 AM and end between 4:30 and 6:00 PM. So, as they say here: No stress . After our grand island tour on June 14th, we knew immediately: This wouldn't be our last tour with Franca. So, without hesitation, we booked the "Wild East" tour on June 16th – and were once again thrilled. Franca lives and breathes Boa Vista. With her many years of experience, she knows the island inside and out and shares her knowledge with genuine passion and enthusiasm. We especially appreciated the relaxed pace at all the stops. Instead of a tightly scheduled itinerary, everything felt informal and personal – almost like traveling with a good friend. Highlights for us included visiting a pottery workshop and a small general store, which also supports local people and their work. Franca also took us to places that would be difficult or impossible to reach with a regular rental car. A delicious meal at a local restaurant is included in every tour and perfectly rounds off the day. The excursions start around 9:00 a.m. and end – true to the Cape Verdean motto "No Stress" – at a relaxed pace between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. Dear Franca, thank you so much for two unforgettable and varied days full of special experiences. We booked the grand island adventure tour with Baobab Tour and were absolutely thrilled! The organization was perfect from the punctual pick-up to the very end. In a small group, we traveled by pickup truck far from the crowds of tourists, crisscrossing the island. Franca shared her passion, insider knowledge, and love for the land and its people with us. True to the Cape Verdean motto of "No Stress," there was never any sense of being rushed. The tour was incredibly diverse: from the Viana Desert to a pottery school and a shipwreck, it had it all. A huge thank you also for the delicious, authentic lunch and the wonderful tastings of local specialties along the way. These authentic insights made us truly fall in love with the island. The grand island tour of Boa Vista is an absolute must. We saw amazing highlights and took lots of beautiful photos. Franca puts so much heart and soul into it, and we learned so much about Boa Vista from her. Small groups in a very relaxed atmosphere. We loved it, thank you so much!
