Djibouti Adventure

Akram took me on a multi-day journey in Djibouti, and I had a truly memorable time not only at each destination but also throughout the journey. He has a deep knowledge of Djibouti and neighbouring regions in Ethiopia (including 5 of the regional mother tongues apart from English and French) and is a great conversationalist/historian during long off-road journeys (which is no concern given his comfortable 4x4) He’s also great at finding the best food or interesting stops in each area, and always works with you to adjust plans on the road based on your interests/needs. This was crucial for finding whale sharks. These personal touches and level of attention/knowledge are only possible with solo tour operators, among which Akram truly represents the best I’ve encountered over my 100+ journeys
