They cooked amazing food, were incredibly friendly and sorted everything out. The white desert trip is simply breathtaking and I can’t recommend Loly highly enough.

As part of our visit to Egypt, we planned a trip to the White Desert. Loli Gamal (owner of Egypt Western Desert Tours) responded quickly to all our questions and sent us a clearly laid out itinerary. Ultimately, we decided on a two-night tour—and we were right. Everything was perfectly organized: a taxi was waiting for us at the appointed time, which took us to Bawiti. They were already waiting for us, lunch was set, we left some unnecessary things behind, and headed off to adventure! I must say right away that we were incredibly lucky with our guide/driver, Mohammed (Friday). He was very friendly and helpful, a wonderful driver, an amazing cook, and dexterous and fast. As we understood, everyone's itinerary was roughly the same because we met the same people at various points over the course of two days. We stayed overnight at sites where two large tents had already been pitched: one for us (a family of four) and one utility tent (which also served as the guide's bedroom). While we were unpacking our things and laying out our sleeping bags, Mohammed quickly set the table and prepared food. Soup, rice, wonderful grilled chicken in the evening, omelettes/eggs and pancakes (!!!) for breakfast, salads and stewed vegetables for lunch. There was plenty of everything, everything was enough. Both evenings, fennec foxes came to visit them (we were really looking forward to meeting them), drank water and ate the leftovers of the chicken. In the morning, around 7 o'clock, you can admire the sunrise in the desert. By this time, a thermos of boiling water is already on the table, you can sip tea and watch a new day begin. What else can I say? The desert is indescribably beautiful, complete silence, you are alone with nature, just you and the desert. We were lucky – there was no wind, it was very quiet and peaceful. It was cool at night (in a sleeping bag + a camel blanket is fine), but in the morning the sand warms up very quickly and it gets warm. The kids went sandboarding down the dunes. Overall, I have only the warmest memories of the trip. I'm already preparing a case study from this journey for my ecotourism lectures at Moscow State University. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness, Loli and Mohammed. We wish you many wonderful guests and hope to see you again!

A magical experience. Our guide and driver were wonderful. The driver was a skilled driver in the jeep, navigating the dunes expertly, and prepared a delicious meal for us! The views were varied and magnificent at each location. There were a few other tourist jeeps at each spot, but we were completely alone at our campsite in the evenings. I didn't feel unsafe at all (as recommended by the government). Simply put, this was my favorite part of my three-week trip to Egypt. I only spent one night in the desert, but I wish I could have spent two.
