This was a highlight of our entire holiday. The opportunity to try lots of local foods with the support of a guide so we understood what we were eating and the history and influences on the food culture in Mauritius. Julien is a friendly, fantastic guide. He is a former chef so very knowledgeable about food and also very knowledgeable on the history of Mauritius so it was a really top day. Additionally my husband has limited mobility so Julien planned a route that was workable and accessible for him which was really appreciated.

This was a brilliant tour. The food was excellent, but Julian is such a great guide that we learned more about Mauritius in this half day than we did on the rest of the holiday. Absolutely essential of you're visiting.

Amazing tour - you have to do this if you're visiting Port Louis. Julien is a great host - really knowledgeable, passionate about Mauritius, its history, culture, and food. The tour is well planned, with lots of variety, and tasty food at all the stops. Don't eat beforehand, you will be full!

We had the best day walking the streets of Port Louis, trying all the local delicacies with food and drinks and learning all about Mauritian history and culture while we were at it. Julien was absolutely fabulous at guiding us through it all and you can evidently see his knowledge and passion for his work that really shines through. It was the perfect balance on trying traditional/popular foods, some more unusual food which was great to try, as well as him flexing things on the basis of the sort of things we mentioned we liked with some impromptu stops along the way which was absolutely perfect. Skip breakfast as there is a lot of food to be eaten. Would highly recommend to anyone that is keen on local food as part of exploring this beautiful country....with Julien being the perfect person to guide you through it.

Absolutely loved Julien’s food tour. It was my first time doing one, and I couldn’t have picked a better guide. Julien knows Port Louis so well, is really passionate about his culture, and you can tell he loves sharing it. We tried some amazing local food—I left feeling full and like I’d really experienced the flavours of Mauritius. Definitely a must. Thank you!
