Metro Safaris (SS) Limited

I visited South Sudan with Metro Safaris and had a fantastic experience, spending a memorable evening with the Mundari tribe. Mayom is the company owner, and I was fortunate he was my guide as well, on this short visit. The communication pre-visit was great. Mayom is very patient and answered all my queries promptly. He helped with all the pre-trip documentation (and there's quite a bit for South Sudan). It was less than 9 days between my first message to Mayom and my flight to Juba. Mayom is also very engaging and informative. While at the camp, he also takes care of meals, tents, and also, 'business' at the various checkpoints. Mayom suggested visiting a local wrestling tournament, which would take place during my visit. While I was not keen on this initially, I'm glad Mayom recommended it as it was such a great experience and I dare say was the highlight of my trip, even though the reason for my trip was to visit the Mundari. South Sudan is definitely an off-beat destination and attracts a certain kind of traveller. Mayom and his team make it a breeze. When you're there, ask him about his enthralling and uplifting story!
