Less than two hours later, we had an offer we couldn't refuse. A private tour, a VIP shuttle bus just for our group, and a personal, fluent German-speaking guide. From the pick-up and entrance to various temples and the Valley of the Kings, to a typical, incredibly delicious lunch in an Egyptian restaurant – everything was perfectly organized. In Giza, we were greeted by our guide, who was simply fantastic. He was not only highly knowledgeable and passionate about his work, but he also presented the history and secrets of the pyramids in an engaging and entertaining way. He had an answer for every question we had, no matter how unusual. You could really tell how much he loves his job. The pyramids themselves are, of course, an absolute highlight, but the personal tour allowed us to experience them in a completely different way. The service throughout was also top-notch – water, snacks, breaks, everything was taken care of. Finally, we were driven safely and comfortably back to our hotel.
