Octopus Diving Center

I had one of the most incredible experiences of my life thanks to the amazing team at Octopus Diving Center. They took great care of me, I felt safe throughout the experience, and got the chance to swim alongside a turtle and a shark! Was my first time diving and certainly won’t be the last. 10/10

Really great experience diving with Octopus! Went on 2 dives and saw so much different sea life including reef sharks, mantas, schools of fish, and lobster. The dive masters are all super professional and very friendly. We definitely got the best vibes from this school. We went in a little nervous and left wanting to dive even more!! Absolute gem in Praslin – Highly recommended even for non-divers! I had an incredible experience with Octopus Diving Center on Praslin, and I cannot thank Diego and his team enough. Although I am a diver myself, this trip was all about my main hobby: exploring with my foldable TRAK kayak. Diego, the owner, kindly allowed me to store my expensive kayak at the center. This was a massive help because the center is right on the beach. I felt 100% safe leaving my gear there, without any worries. Even better, my kayak was kept in a super nice, grassy, and shaded spot. I had full flexibility to pick it up or bring it back whenever I wanted – usually around 6 PM, just before sunset. There was also a hose nearby, making it incredibly easy to wash off the saltwater from my kayak, life jacket, and spray skirt. The location is perfect. Kayaking around Praslin is first-class, with excellent conditions for exploring, and it’s not as dangerous as around La Digue. Thanks to the kayak, I was able to discover so many hidden, otherwise inaccessible spots. It was pure magic! This was my 13th trip to the Seychelles, but thanks to this kayak adventure, it was one of the absolute best, with Praslin being the ultimate highlight. I ended up paddling 65 kilometers in total just around Praslin and Curieuse! The staff went above and beyond. On multiple occasions, the dive masters even helped me carry my kayak down to the shore, which was a huge relief. Every time I was at the center, I noticed how satisfied and happy the divers were, many of them being returning regulars. As a wonderful coincidence, it turned out that Diego and I share a good mutual friend, Attila, whom Diego used to dive with back in the day! I highly recommend Octopus Diving Center to everyone because of their sheer professionalism and extremely friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Not only Diego, but everyone I talked to was incredibly nice and genuinely interested in my journey. Thank you so much, Diego, for making this possible for me! I am already looking forward to coming back next year for another great paddling season!!!

I got PADI certified with 5 star instructor Diego Rose in December and it was a bucket list experience I will never forget! Not only was Diego an incredibly patient, thorough and thoughtful instructor, the entire staff were friendly, kind and made you feel like you were right at home in the Indian Ocean. If you’re a new diver I can’t recommend octopus diving center enough! If you’re an experienced diver, then you’ll see exactly what I mean ;) don’t miss your chance to see one of the greatest gifts Seychelles has to offer.
