Sahara Media is headquartered in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, and has several offices in the North and West Africa region, including Rabat, Dakar, and Abidjan, in addition to local offices in Mauritania that provide press and television coverage of the media organization’s services. Sahara Media has modern equipment for filming, editing and television production, in addition to the possibility of live satellite broadcasting, in its external offices. Sahara Media publishes several news websites and digital platforms in Mauritania and other countries in North and West Africa and the Sahara region. However, its first news website, Sahara Media, which was the first of its kind in Mauritania and the Sahara region, was known for its editorial line that prioritizes professionalism and objectivity. The website became famous during its coverage of prominent political and security events in Mauritania and the sub-region, and as a result, it became one of the most influential websites in Mauritania. The Sahara Media news website is published in three languages: Arabic, French, and English. Its official headquarters are in Nouakchott, and it relies on a team of young journalists, in addition to a network of correspondents inside Mauritania and in the capitals of the sub-region. As for Sahara Media in general, it employs dozens of highly qualified professionals, including technicians and seasoned journalists with extensive experience and professional expertise from Mauritania, Iraq, Morocco, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Mali. It also has agreements with several major Arab and international media organizations. Sahara Media has established a center for studies, research, and training in the fields of journalism and audiovisual media. As part of its work in the field of television production, “Sahara Media” carried out various activities such as preparing thousands of television news reports and producing dozens of documentary programs, and it also covered many prominent events in the region for the benefit of various satellite channels.
