A superb trip, well-organized in advance by Sahel Découverte, perfectly tailored to our sightseeing preferences. The agency and staff were readily available and answered all our questions before departure. During our stay, everything went smoothly, and our guide, Amadou, was very professional and friendly, managing to answer all our questions. We have wonderful memories of this trip, the organization, and the Sahel Découverte agency.

December 2025, a family of five: two parents and three teenagers. We opted for a customized, fairly packed six-day itinerary. From Dakar to Kédougou, with a change of scenery almost every other day (Pink Lake, Bandia, Joal, Kaolack, Mako, Dindefelo Waterfall, Niokolo-Koba National Park). Everything was perfectly organized. A spacious car with an efficient and careful driver who adapted to the family's needs. A guide with diverse knowledge who shared information based on what he sensed would interest us. No delays, no hassles, and room for local guides he already knew. We lived in Senegal for several years, and to show our children the country, we didn't want to risk organizing it ourselves. Communication with the agency beforehand was smooth and without any issues.

Day trip to Gorée Island and the Pink Lake with Sahel Découverte: a superb experience. The company is admittedly a bit pricey, but very professional. Ms. Awa, the organizer, was very helpful. Just be aware of the bank transfer fees, which are your responsibility. It's best to pay a deposit by bank transfer and the rest in cash. A magnificent half-day in Gorée. We'll return to spend a night there as a family. Our guide, Mouamar, was exceptional. A few practical tips: Make sure you have your passports. They are mandatory at the port entrance. I hadn't been warned, but luckily our guide seemed to know all the police forces well. In the waiting area, stay near the boarding gates to get a seat upstairs on the boat. Gorée is stunning, so it's very crowded. Afterwards, we visited the Pink Lake [which hasn't been pink for the last three years due to rain]. Allow 1.5 hours for the journey from Dakar. Good car and a very friendly guide. Superb restaurant by the lake followed by a 4x4 ride along the dunes and the sea. Very nice, but all in all, it's better to spend a whole day in Goree in my opinion.
