Highly recommend Pape Eric Diedhiou at Sensafari for anyone looking for a private, cruise-safe tour in Dakar and Gorée Island. Pape was very personable, accommodating, and genuinely committed to making the experience smooth and enjoyable. He worked hard to guide us through the logistics and remove barriers along the way — including the ferry process to Gorée Island. Beyond the tour itself, we appreciated the many good conversations we had together and found ourselves very much on the same page on many topics. Importantly for cruise travelers, Pape was very conscious of timing and made sure we were back at the ship comfortably and on time. A very positive experience overall.

We have traveled to more than 100 countries, and rarely—if ever—have we met a travel agent and guide as outstanding as Pape. We traveled with him and his driver for 12 days in Senegal and The Gambia and have just returned. “Business” with Pape ends the moment you co-design the route of your trip, before you even arrive in Senegal. From the moment you land, he becomes a trustworthy friend—someone who speaks perfect English and French, takes care of every detail, and even welcomes you into his family home for dinner. Dudu, his driver, was excellent too. Strongly recommended.

12 Days in Senegal – An Unforgettable Experience For twelve days, we had the privilege of experiencing an unforgettable journey through Senegal. We visited, among other places, Dakar, Gorée Island, La Somone, M'bour, Warang, the Bandia Reserve, Mjoal-Fagiouth, the Sine-Saloum region, Saint-Louis, and the Lompoul Desert. Our trip was perfectly orchestrated by our warm and incredibly friendly guide, Pape Eric from Sensafari, who shared his love for his country with us with contagious enthusiasm. Accompanied by our competent driver, Malick, they made a fantastic team. We immersed ourselves in the local culture, savoring the rhythm, the colors, the hospitality, and the unique atmosphere that makes Senegal so special. Thank you, Pape, for your excellent service, your genuine friendship, and your unforgettable optimism. A recommendation without hesitation for anyone looking for more than just a trip.
