Travel Excursion Sénégal

We went on the bandia reserve plus the pink lake tour. This day was absolutely amazing, we had the best guide Semi that knows a lot about Senegal. We have learned so much with him. He was also very thoughtful and caring always worried about our comfort and wellbeing. The tour started with the bandia reserve which is just a wonderful experience. Here one sees all different kind of animals from Senegal and South Africa: rynnos, giraffes, monkeys, hyenas, turtles, a lot of different birds, crocodiles etc.. it is really worth your while. Afterwards we went see the pink lake. It was a cloudy day so we could not immediately see the pink color on the lake but once closer it was clearly pink. The cannon ride was interesting specially to see up close how they managed to extract the salt from the lake. Then we had a small lunch at a local hotel nearby. And finally the dune ride, it would be more enjoyable if the beach wasn’t so dirty and full of plastic but unfortunately that’s Senegal. We had a great time and I personally advise this tour.

We had a fantastic one-day tour to Gorée Island and Dakar, arranged by Gora, who was incredibly kind and responsive. During our tour exploring his magnificent country, we had the opportunity to talk with him extensively. He taught us so much about Senegal, immersing us in the heart of its society, culture, and traditions!
