The Maasai Mara is considered Kenya’s best wildlife sanctuary, where plains animals can still be seen which in turn support a large population of predators. The 500-mile yearly migration of one and a quarter million wildebeest with the dramatic river crossings is one of the wonders of the world and a UNESCO world heritage site. Our wilderness safari will have you walking and camping in the wild in the Nguruman Forest and Loita Hills east of the Maasai Mara.

You will be picked from the airport and driven to your hotel. If you arrived on an early flight, we will get you lunch and do some site seeing in Nairobi. We may visit the Nairobi National Museum, which is always a good introduction to the country. Later you can have dinner in one of Nairobi's numerous restaurant.

The following terms are provided directly by Nas-Northwest Wilderness Safaris. Please read carefully before booking.

Tour Booking Policy

Payment Methods & Deposit Terms

To confirm a booking, a deposit or full payment may be required, depending on the tour and your specific itinerary. All bookings are subject to availability and will be confirmed once we receive payment and send you a confirmation email. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. Full payment must be made at least 14 days prior to the departure date unless otherwise stated in your booking confirmation.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you wish to cancel your booking, please notify us in writing via email or phone. The following cancellation policy applies: More than 30 days before departure: Full refund minus the non-refundable deposit. 14-30 days before departure: 50% of the total tour cost will be refunded. Less than 14days before departure: No refund will be issued.

Tipping Guidelines

Tips are not included in the Safari price and are entirely at the discretion of the guest. We consider them a personal way of showing appreciation for exceptional service and are not mandatory. As a general guideline, guests may wish to budget approximately US$10–20 per person per day for their safari guide/driver and US$5–10 per person per day for camp staff. These amounts are purely indicative and guests are free to give more, less, or not depending on the service they receive.

Child Policy

Child rates apply when a child is sharing accommodation with one or two paying adults,unless otherwise stated. 0–2 years: Complimentary when sharing with parents* 3–5 years: 50% of the adult sharing rate 6–11 years: 75% of the adult sharing rate 12–17 years: Adult rate applies 18 years and above: Adult rate *Complimentary arrangements are subject to accommodation availability and supplier policies.

Single Supplement Policy

No Single Supplement applies. We run mostly organized private trips.
