Day 1: TRANSFER FROM KIGALI- HALF DAY GAME DRIVE AND SUNSET BOAT CRUISE
Our professional driver guide will pick you up by 5:00AM after an early breakfast to drive to the east which takes approximately 3 hours to enter the park. This National Park is located along the eastern border of Rwanda, where the typically hilly countryside gives way to the savannas of the Great Rift Valley. Dominated by lakes, swamps and marshland, the area boasts a huge compliment of nature and wildlife that cannot be found elsewhere in the country.
Your guide will handle the park registration and entry clearances at the reception after the park formalities you will start with a half day game drive through the park arriving with en-route game drive for lunch at the Camp. Have lunch as you enjoy some relaxation time and the breathtaking views of the savannah just near the poolside. After lunch depart for the afternoon boat cruise at 3pm on Lake Ihema which is very rewarding for seeing numerous hippos, the huge Nile crocodiles, and many birds. This is the most interesting part of the park for birders. Later drive to your lodge check in relax and have dinner at your Lodge Salt of Akagera located inside the Park. You will stay one night at the Salt of Akagera

Day 2: AKAGERA FULL DAY GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER BACK KIGALI-DEPARTURE
After an early breakfast and with your packed lunch, kick-start your day with drive towards the northern gate for the full day game drives. Expect to encounter some predators happily feasting on their freshly preys and wave to the fortunate preys that managed to survive the night. This region is best for spotting members of the Big Five including the Hippos, elephants, buffaloes; giraffes, warthogs, waterbucks, and different antelope species such as the "Roan Antelope" or horse antelope, the largest and, with the Topi or Lyre antelope, one of the fastest. Head over to the scenic Mihindi Cafe, beautifully situated inside the park overlooking Lake Mihindi. Here, you will take a relaxing break to stretch, enjoy a delicious lunch, and watch the hippos and crocodiles lounging by the lake shores.
Then continue your safari as you head toward the northern exit. The afternoon sun often brings animals down to the watering holes. Your driver-guide will use their expert tracking skills to seek out the rhinos and hidden prides of lions in the Kilala plains. Conclude your game drive and exit the park through the Northern Gate (Nyagatare side). This allows you to experience a complete traversal of the park's diverse landscapes from south to north without backtracking. Return Drive to Kigali relax in the comfort of the Land Cruiser as your driver takes the smoothly paved main highway back to the capital, your driver-guide will drop you off safely at your hotel or preferred location in Kigali, marking the end of an incredible safari adventure
