Start your adventure with a flight from Addis Ababa to Semera. From there, drive for 4 hours to the volcano. Visit Erta Ale, one of the most active volcanoes, and camp outside a little far from the volcano. The trek to the volcano takes about 30 minutes, so be sure to bring trekking shoes, a torchlight, and a mask.

Tour Booking Policy

Payment Methods & Deposit Terms

At the time of confirmation, a 30% deposit of the total confirmed tour price is required. The remaining 70% of the total confirmed tour price is payable before or upon arrival, prior to the commencement of the confirmed tour.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation - Any cancellation of a confirmed booking must be done in writing. Cancellations are subject to the following charges. - 49 days or more prior to departure: a handling fee of 75 USD. 29 days to 48 days prior to departure: 20% of the total confirmed tour price 8 days to 28 days prior to departure: 50% of the total confirmed tour price 7 days or less prior to departure: 100% of the total confirmed tour price - Special cancellation fees may apply for third-party bookings.

Tipping Guidelines

-Amounts Tour Guides: 500 to 1000 Birr per day, depending on the quality of service. - Drivers: 300 - 500 Birr per day. - Restaurants & Cafés: 10% to 15% of the bill for good service in sit-down restaurants. - Hotel Porters: 100 to 200 Birr per bag. - Housekeeping: 100 to 200 Birr per night in upscale hotels.
