Day 1: ZANZIBAR – DAR ES SALAAM – MIKUMI
Your safari begins with an early morning transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to the ferry terminal for the scheduled crossing to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, you will be met by your safari representative and transferred to the SGR station for your journey toward the mainland.
Enjoy a comfortable SGR train journey through the Tanzanian countryside before connecting with your private safari vehicle for the onward transfer to Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your selected lodge or camp, where you will have time to relax and enjoy dinner.

Day 2: FULL-DAY MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK SAFARI
After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. The day's safari focuses on the park's expansive savannah plains, particularly the Mkata Floodplain, renowned for its concentration of wildlife and excellent photographic opportunities.
With your professional safari guide, explore the park in search of elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, antelopes and a wide variety of bird species. A picnic lunch will be served at an authorized location within or near the park, followed by an afternoon game drive before returning to your lodge in the evening.

Day 3: MIKUMI – SGR – DAR ES SALAAM – ZANZIBAR
Begin the final day with an early breakfast before departing for a short morning game drive, offering one last opportunity to experience Mikumi's wildlife in the cooler morning hours.
You will then proceed by safari vehicle to the designated SGR station for your return train journey toward Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, transfer to the ferry terminal for the scheduled ferry crossing back to Zanzibar.
On arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, marking the conclusion of your 3-day Mikumi safari experience.
