Your guide will pick you up early from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala before driving to Mabamba Swamp, one of Uganda's finest birding sites located along the shores of Lake Victoria. Board a traditional motorized canoe and glide through the papyrus channels while searching for the prehistoric-looking Shoebill Stork. Along the way, look out for numerous wetland birds, including African Jacanas, Malachite Kingfishers, Purple Herons, Papyrus Gonoleks, and African Fish Eagles. After the birding excursion, begin the scenic drive southwest toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. Pass through rolling hills, traditional villages, tea plantations, and the beautiful landscapes of western Uganda. Arrive at your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
