6-Day Madagascar Wildlife & Baobab Coast Expedition

You will land at Ivato Airport. You will meet your team holding a sign with your name and company logo at the airport gate. The tour guide can assist you with money exchange, getting a local SIM card, and more. Once all the processes are completed, we will transfer you to your hotel, which is near the airport. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Our team will transfer you back to the national airport. Another team (driver-guide) will meet you at Morondava Airport and escort you to your hotel. You will have the opportunity to visit the Kimony Resort, where you can see several species of lemurs, followed by a tour of the town of Morondava. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure on the beach.

After breakfast, departure from Morondava to the Kirindy forest where a knowledgeable local guide will wait you to observe the unique daytime wildlife of this dry spiny forest park. Keep an eye out for the red-fronted lemur and the Verreaux's sifaka, known as the "dancing lemur," along with various native birds and stunning local flora. You'll go back to the hotel after a delightful lunch. In the afternoon, you'll enjoy a leisurely drive to explore the famous Baobab trees, including the "Baobab Sacred and in Love" and the breathtaking Avenue of the Baobabs, which is especially beautiful at sunset. You’ll arrive at your hotel in Morondava after the sunset spot and the rest of the day at your leisure.

Departure from Morondava to Antananarivo. After a flight to the capital, you will be welcomed by a professional driver and a local guide to drive you to your hotel for your check-in. After that, you will go for a city tour where you can visit the local market and the Rova, and then you will be driven back to your hotel. After lunch, we will take the road to Andasibe. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Today, you are going to visit Analamazaotra reserve to discover the lemurs in the wildlife, varied orchids with over a hundred inventoried species that bloom in the forest, for its indri-indri that can be observed the whose voice illustrates the nice mornings. This hike will take you about 4 hours with a local guide who knows the area very well. You'll get back after the visit to have lunch and drive to Vakona Private Reserve. After the visit, you'll go back to your hotel, take a rest, and be ready for the evening walk.

After breakfast, start your day with a morning walk through the authentic village of Andasibe, immersing yourself in the daily life, culture, and architecture of the eastern highlands. Next, begin your scenic drive back toward Antananarivo along the winding RN2. En route, stop at the renowned Peyrieras Reptile Reserve (Madagascar Exotic) in Mandraka. Guided by a local expert, enjoy an up-close encounter with Madagascar’s fascinating micro-fauna, including colorful chameleons, leaf-tailed geckos, frogs, and insects. After a relaxed lunch along the road, continue your journey through lush landscapes, terraced rice fields, and red-brick villages before arriving back in Antananarivo in the late afternoon.
