Embark on an unforgettable 6-day adventure to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro via the famous Marangu Route, one of Tanzania’s most scenic and accessible trekking routes. Known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” Marangu combines breathtaking landscapes, comfortable mountain hut accommodation and a rewarding journey through several distinct ecological zones.
This carefully designed trek provides an additional acclimatization day, giving you more time to adjust to the increasing altitude and improving your chances of successfully reaching Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters, the highest point in Africa. Along the way, experience lush tropical rainforest, beautiful moorlands, alpine desert landscapes and the dramatic volcanic scenery surrounding Kilimanjaro’s Kibo and Mawenzi peaks.
With Labonze Safaris, you will be supported by an experienced professional mountain guide and dedicated mountain crew throughout your adventure. Our team focuses on safety, proper pacing, excellent service and ensuring that you are well prepared for the challenges of high-altitude trekking.
The highlight of the experience is the summit attempt, where you will ascend toward Uhuru Peak and, if conditions permit, stand at the Roof of Africa surrounded by spectacular views stretching across Tanzania. Reaching the summit is a truly rewarding achievement and a memory that will remain with you long after you leave Tanzania.
The Marangu Route is an excellent choice for travelers seeking a classic Kilimanjaro experience with the convenience of sleeping in mountain huts rather than tents. The additional acclimatization day makes the six-day option particularly suitable for travelers who want a more gradual trekking experience.
