This 7 Days Ultimate Uganda Primate and Wildlife Safari is a carefully designed journey that showcases the very best of Uganda’s biodiversity, landscapes, and wildlife encounters.
From the lush tropical rainforests of western Uganda to the open savannah plains of the south, this safari combines primate tracking, classic game drives, and scenic exploration into one seamless experience.
The adventure begins with exceptional primate encounters in Kibale National Park, widely known as the primate capital of the world, followed by a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
In between, guests will explore the diverse ecosystems of Queen Elizabeth National Park, including the famous Ishasha sector, home to the rare tree-climbing lions, and enjoy a private boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel.
The safari concludes with a relaxed wildlife experience in Lake Mburo National Park, offering close encounters with zebras and giraffes, before returning to Entebbe via the Equator.

Day 1: Entebbe to Kibale National Park – Scenic Journey into the Primate World
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide.
The journey begins with a scenic drive westward, passing through traditional Ugandan countryside, rolling hills, and vast tea plantations. As you approach Fort Portal, the landscape becomes greener and more mountainous, offering breathtaking views of the Rwenzori region.
You will arrive near Kibale National Park in the late afternoon.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early breakfast, you will head into Kibale Forest for an unforgettable chimpanzee tracking experience.
Guided by experienced rangers, you will trek through dense rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzees. Once found, you will spend time observing their behavior—feeding, grooming, and communicating in their natural habitat.
After this thrilling experience, you will transfer south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, transitioning from rainforest to savannah landscapes.

Day 3: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
The day begins with an early morning game drive across the Kasenyi plains.
Here, you will search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and possibly leopards as the savannah comes alive with wildlife activity.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, one of the best wildlife viewing spots in East Africa.

Elephants and buffaloes at the water’s edge
A wide variety of bird species
This experience provides excellent opportunities for photography at close range.

Day 4: Ishasha Tree-Climbing Lions & Transfer to Bwindi
After breakfast, you will drive south into the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
This region is famous for its rare tree-climbing lions, often seen resting in fig trees—a unique behavior not commonly observed elsewhere.
After a game drive in Ishasha, the journey continues to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dense rainforest and mountain gorillas.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – The Ultimate Wildlife Experience
This is the highlight of your safari.
After an early briefing, you will begin your gorilla trekking adventure through the dense forest of Bwindi.
The trek may take a few hours depending on the gorillas’ location, but the reward is extraordinary.
Once you encounter a gorilla family, you will spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat.
This close interaction with endangered mountain gorillas is often described as emotional, humbling, and unforgettable.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – Relaxed Wildlife Experience
After breakfast, you will travel to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park but rich in wildlife.

Day 7: Walking Safari, Equator Stop & Return to Entebbe

Afterward, you will begin your journey back to Entebbe, with a stop at the Uganda Equator for photos and a lunch break.
Arrival in Entebbe marks the end of your safari.
