The adventure culminates at Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa, followed by a scenic descent through the mountain's southern slopes.

Day 1: Londorossi Gate – Mti Mkubwa Camp
After breakfast, your private vehicle will transfer you to Londorossi Gate for registration and trekking permit formalities. From the gate, you continue to the trailhead and begin your trek through the lush montane rainforest.
Your private guide will set a comfortable pace according to your fitness and preferences. Enjoy the beautiful forest environment and watch for monkeys and colorful birdlife along the way.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp – Shira 1 Camp
After breakfast, you leave the rainforest behind and gradually enter the moorland zone. The vegetation becomes shorter and the landscape opens up as you climb toward the spectacular Shira Plateau.
Your guide will maintain a slow and steady pace to help with acclimatization. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and, weather permitting, impressive views of Kibo Peak.

Day 3: Shira 1 Camp – Shira 2 Camp
Today is designed as a gentle acclimatization day. You will cross the scenic Shira Plateau, enjoying spectacular views of Kibo and the surrounding volcanic landscape.
The relatively short walking distance gives you plenty of time to rest, take photographs and enjoy the peaceful mountain environment.

Day 4: Shira 2 Camp – Lava Tower – Barranco Camp
Today is an important acclimatization day. You will hike gradually toward Lava Tower, reaching approximately 4,630 m before descending to Barranco Camp.
The “climb high, sleep low” approach helps your body adapt to the increasing altitude. Along the way, you will experience dramatic volcanic landscapes and excellent views of Kibo Peak.
After descending into the Barranco Valley, you arrive at camp beneath the impressive Barranco Wall.

Day 5: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp
After breakfast, you begin the day by tackling the famous Barranco Wall. With the support of your private guide, you will carefully negotiate the rocky sections before continuing through a series of ridges and valleys.
The shorter hiking distance provides valuable time to rest and acclimatize. Enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery before settling into camp.

Karanga camp
Day 6: Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp
Today you continue toward Barafu Camp, the final base camp before your summit attempt.
The landscape becomes increasingly rocky and barren as you approach the high-altitude zone. Upon arrival at Barafu, your private guide will provide a detailed summit briefing and check that your equipment is ready.
You will have an early dinner and rest as much as possible in preparation for the summit climb.

Day 7: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp
You will wake around midnight and begin your summit attempt with your private guide. The climb starts in darkness and proceeds slowly toward Stella Point (5,739 m).
From Stella Point, you continue along the crater rim toward Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895 m.
After reaching the summit, take time to celebrate your achievement and capture photographs, weather and conditions permitting.
You will then descend toward Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing to Mweka Camp, where you will spend the night.

Day 8: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – AMoshi
After breakfast, you begin your final descent through the beautiful rainforest toward Mweka Gate.
At the gate, you will complete the park exit procedures and receive your Kilimanjaro summit certificate.
Your private vehicle will then meet you for the transfer back to Arusha or Moshi, where your 8-day private Kilimanjaro adventure comes to an end.
