Kibera is Nairobi, Kenya's largest informal settlement, also known as a slum, and is the largest in Africa. It is a dense, vibrant community of hundreds of thousands of people, originally a forest granted to the locals, which evolved into a center for migrants from rural areas and neighboring countries. Residents live in densely packed housing, often without legal claims to the land or access to basic services like clean water and electricity.
