Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara – The journey begins
Pickup from international to domestic to board your flight from Nairobi and enjoy the scenic views as you land directly in the Masai Mara. Our representative will meet you at the airstrip, and you will be driven to Ilora Retreats. After checking into your tent and having lunch, head out for your first afternoon game drive, where you might spot elephants, lions, or even a cheetah on the move. Return to camp in the early evening, freshen up, and enjoy a relaxed dinner under the open sky. Unwind by the fire or rest up for the adventures ahead.

Day 2: Safari adventures & unique experiences
Over the next three days, you will have the opportunity to explore the Masai Mara on private morning and afternoon game drives. Your guide will take you to the best spots for wildlife sightings, giving you plenty of chances to capture the big cats, elephants, and more. In between drives, relax at the camp, take in the breathtaking views, and enjoy meals at your own pace.

Day 3: Continue Exploring Masai Mara
Unique experiences in the wild. Start your morning with a guided bush walk, or you can opt for yoga sessions (extra cost), the choice is yours. Then enjoy a bush breakfast out in nature. After lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive. Back at camp, relax by the pool or opt for a spa treatment (extra cost). Enjoy high tea with a tribal dance performance, followed by another short drive into the wild. End your evening with a sundowner on the sky deck and a BBQ dinner under the stars. If you are up for it, catch a movie at the outdoor Bushflix setup.

Day 4: Farewell to the Wild
Ease into your morning with a sunrise game drive; there's magic in spotting wildlife as the savannah awakens. Return for a hearty breakfast back at camp or, if you're feeling adventurous, request a bush breakfast at a new scenic spot.
Mid-morning, take time to unwind. Choose a peaceful yoga session surrounded by nature (optional, extra cost) or indulge in a spa treatment designed to soothe after days of adventure.
After lunch, experience the slower rhythm of the wild with a guided bush walk. Learn how to read animal tracks and uncover the land's secrets from local guides. As the day cools, enjoy a cultural treat: high tea accompanied by live traditional dance performances.
As dusk approaches, set off on a golden-hour game drive, leading you to a magical sundowner moment on our sky deck. Cap off the evening with a flame-grilled BBQ dinner beneath a blanket of stars, and if you're still up for more, grab your popcorn, Bushflix under the stars awaits.

Day 5: Journey to the Gorilla Highlands & Community Interactions
After breakfast, take a scenic flight to Uganda’s western region, gateway to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On arrival, transfer to Buhoma, your base for the next two nights. Settle in and take time to explore the local community and learn about the region’s biodiversity. As evening falls, enjoy a delicious dinner and a briefing about your upcoming gorilla trek.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking & Forest Exploration
Rise early for a briefing by your expert guides, then set off into the dense forest of Bwindi. Trek through lush vegetation before coming face-to-face with a gorilla family. Spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Return to your lodge for a well-earned rest and evening reflection on your extraordinary experience.

Day 7: Departure
The last day, wake to the sounds of the forest one last time. After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe and onward connection to Nairobi. And if you don’t have to head home just yet, why stop here? Extend your adventure and explore more of what Uganda has to offer. Head to Queen Elizabeth National Park to see the Big Five, or North to Murchison Falls to watch the sun set while sipping drinks on the River Nile.
