5-Day Gorilla Chimps and Wildlife Safari

After breakfast, join a briefing on the dos and don’ts of chimp trekking before heading into Kibale Forest with an experienced ranger to track chimpanzees. Spend an unforgettable hour watching these amazing primates in their natural environment. In the afternoon, make your way to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a scenic boat ride along the Kazinga Channel, spotting hippos, elephants, buffalo, waterbucks, and more. Wrap up the day with a game drive before settling in at your lodge.

Transfer through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park en route to Bwindi, an area famous for its tree-climbing lions. In Ishasha, explore the vast Savannah dotted with topis and elephants, keeping an eye out for lions resting in fig tree branches. Continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, witnessing a dramatic change in scenery—from flat Savannah and cultivated hills to dense, jungle-covered mountains—offering a striking contrast and a glimpse of Uganda’s diverse landscapes along the way.

After an early breakfast, head to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest headquarters by 7:45 AM for registration and a ranger briefing. At 8:30 AM, set off on your gorilla trek, winding through the lush rainforest that’s home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on where the gorillas are. Spend an incredible hour in their presence. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community to learn about their traditions and way of life. End the day back at your lodge with dinner and a relaxing night surrounded by the forest’s soothing sounds.

After an early breakfast, you will start your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. you will stop for lunch. There will also be an opportunity to visit the equator for photos, purchase souvenirs, and enjoy tea or coffee on your way Entebbe Airport.
