The Masai Mara is home to lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and hundreds of bird species. Between July and October, the reserve also hosts the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration.

Day 1: Nairobi – Great Rift Valley – Masai Mara National Reserve
Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel, residence, or the airport in Nairobi.
Meet your private Trek Afrika Adventures driver-guide and depart in a comfortable 4x4 Land Cruiser towards the Masai Mara National Reserve.
The journey takes you through Kenya’s central highlands before descending into the Great Rift Valley. You will stop at a scenic viewpoint to enjoy the sweeping landscape and take photographs.
Continue through local farming areas, small towns, and traditional Maasai countryside before arriving at your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch.
After checking in and relaxing briefly, depart for your first afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara.
The reserve’s open grasslands make it an excellent place to see wildlife. Look out for elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, and predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Day 2: Full-Day Masai Mara Game Drive
After an early breakfast, depart for a full day of wildlife viewing in the Masai Mara National Reserve.
The Mara is famous for its high concentration of animals and offers excellent game-viewing opportunities throughout the year.
Your driver-guide will explore different sections of the reserve while searching for the Big Five:
You may also see cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, gazelles, elands, hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species.
During the Great Migration season, usually between July and October, thousands of wildebeest and zebras enter the Masai Mara from Tanzania’s Serengeti. Depending on the movement of the herds, you may visit the Mara River, where dramatic crossings sometimes take place.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve while surrounded by the beautiful African wilderness.
You may also choose to visit a traditional Maasai village at an additional cost. During the visit, you will meet members of the local community, learn about their traditions, visit their homesteads, and enjoy cultural songs and dances.
After an exciting day, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and another overnight stay.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Enjoy breakfast at your lodge or camp before checking out.
You will then drive through the Great Rift Valley and continue towards Nairobi. Your driver-guide will point out notable landmarks along the way.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or the airport.
