5-Day Great Serengeti, Maasai Mara & Ngorongoro Wildebeest Migration Safari

Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be met and greeted by our safari team, where you will be picked up from the Airport. Enjoy a scenic drive through the highlands to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive within the conservation area, with chances to spot wildlife along the crater rim and surrounding plains. Later, proceed to your lodge/camp located on the crater rim. Overnight at your accommodation, enjoying the cool climate and spectacular crater views.

After an early breakfast, depart Ngorongoro and drive through the scenic highlands toward the Serengeti. Enjoy a game drive en route as you enter the vast plains of the Northern Serengeti. Arrive in the Mara River region in time for an afternoon game drive, focusing on the migration corridors and riverbanks. This area offers excellent chances to spot large wildebeest herds, crocodiles, and big cats. Overnight at a lodge or tented camp near the Kogatende / Mara River area.

Today is the highlight of your safari, dedicated to tracking the great wildebeest migration in the Northern Serengeti. Spend the day on full-day game drives, following the massive herds as they move through the Mara River region. Focus on the dramatic river crossings, where you may witness wildebeest navigating the river under the watch of crocodiles, with lions and cheetahs nearby an unforgettable wildlife spectacle. Your guide will position you at the best viewing points to capture photos and experience the intensity of the migration up close.

After an early breakfast, continue your safari with morning game drives in the Northern Serengeti, following the wildebeest herds and other wildlife. Drive towards the Kenya border and enter the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve, renowned for its vast savannahs and abundant wildlife. We will Crossing at Isebania. Along the way, enjoy scenic landscapes and spot the culture of Kenya. Arrive in the afternoon and embark on an afternoon game drive in the Mara, exploring prime migration corridors and open plains for excellent wildlife viewing and photography opportunities. Overnight at a lodge or tented camp in the Masai Mara, preparing for the final day of safari adventures.

Wake up early for breakfast before heading out on a morning game drive, taking in the sights and sounds of the Masai Mara. Enjoy a packed lunch in the bush while continuing your safari adventure, with opportunities to spot the Big Five lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos across the vast Mara savannah. Soak in the sweeping landscapes and capture memorable wildlife photography during the drive. In the afternoon, check out of your lodge or camp and begin the journey back to Nairobi, reflecting on the incredible wildlife encounters of the past days. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon or evening, concluding your unforgettable 5-day Great Migration safari.
