After breakfast, prepare for a full-day wildlife adventure inside Mikumi National Park. Mikumi is famous for its open grasslands, wetlands, woodland areas and wildlife-rich plains. During the game drive, your professional guide will search for the park's diverse wildlife while explaining animal behavior, vegetation and the ecosystem. You may encounter large herds of buffalo, elephants, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest. With luck, you may also see lions and other predators. After breakfast, depart Mikumi and travel south toward Nyerere National Park. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you leave Mikumi behind and approach one of Tanzania's largest protected wildlife areas. Upon arrival, check in at your accommodation and have lunch before preparing for an afternoon and sunset game drive. As the afternoon progresses, the changing light creates a spectacular atmosphere across the wilderness. Your guide will search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife. The sunset safari provides a beautiful opportunity to experience Nyerere's wilderness during the cooler hours of the day. Return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Keep your camera ready as you search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and other wildlife. Nyerere is also an excellent destination for birdwatching. Your experienced guide will help you identify animals and birds while sharing information about the park's ecosystem and conservation. Enjoy lunch during the safari before continuing your exploration. In the late afternoon, return to the camp for dinner and relaxation. Wake up early and prepare for one of the highlights of your safari: a boat safari on the Rufiji River. Cruise along the calm waters while observing wildlife from a completely different perspective. The river and surrounding wetlands provide an important habitat for hippos, crocodiles and numerous bird species. Keep watch for African fish eagles, kingfishers and other water birds as your boat moves through the river system. After the boat safari, enjoy breakfast before continuing with a cultural experience and Maasai family visit. Learn about traditional Maasai culture, lifestyle and customs while interacting respectfully with the local community. After the cultural visit, begin your journey back toward Dar es Salaam. Arrive in Dar es Salaam later in the day and transfer to the airport or your preferred drop-off point.
