The Marangu Route, also known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” is the only Kilimanjaro route where climbers stay in mountain huts rather than tents. The 5-day itinerary is the shortest standard Marangu option and includes the summit attempt via Kibo Hut.

After breakfast, drive to Marangu Gate for registration and begin your trek through the beautiful montane rainforest. The trail is surrounded by lush vegetation and may offer opportunities to see monkeys and birds. Continue to Mandara Hut at approximately 2,700m for dinner and overnight. If time and energy allow, enjoy a short walk to Maundi Crater.
