Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast in Arusha, you will meet your private safari driver-guide and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most beautiful and wildlife-rich parks. The drive takes you through the scenic countryside of northern Tanzania, passing local villages, farms and changing landscapes before reaching the entrance of Tarangire National Park. Once inside the park, you will begin your game drive, exploring the open savannah, woodland and areas surrounding the Tarangire River. The park is particularly famous for its impressive elephant population and magnificent ancient baobab trees, which create a unique and photogenic landscape. During the game drive, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, gazelles and many different bird species. Your experienced driver-guide will carefully search for wildlife and share information about the animals, their behavior and the ecosystem. You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated location before continuing with an afternoon game drive. As the day progresses, you will have more opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. Day 2: Karatu – Central Serengeti National Park
After breakfast in Karatu, you will depart with your private safari vehicle and experienced driver-guide and begin your journey toward Central Serengeti National Park. The drive takes you through the beautiful landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with spectacular views of the highlands and surrounding countryside. As you continue toward the Serengeti, the scenery gradually changes from forested highlands to vast open grasslands. Upon entering Serengeti National Park, your wildlife adventure begins. You will enjoy an en-route game drive as you make your way toward the Central Serengeti area. Your guide will carefully search for wildlife along the route, stopping whenever interesting animals or scenic locations are spotted. Central Serengeti, particularly the Seronera Valley, is famous for its excellent year-round wildlife viewing and high concentration of predators. Depending on the season and wildlife movements, you may see large herds of wildebeest and zebra, as well as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles and many other species. The area is also known for sightings of lions, cheetahs and leopards, making it an exciting destination for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers. You will enjoy a picnic lunch during the day's game drive before continuing your exploration of the central Serengeti. Later in the afternoon, you will proceed to your campsite/lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight, surrounded by the incredible atmosphere of the Serengeti. Day 3: Central Serengeti – Northern Serengeti National Park
After breakfast at your accommodation in Central Serengeti, you will begin your journey north toward Northern Serengeti National Park. Today combines a scenic transfer with an exciting en-route game drive, allowing you to continue experiencing the Serengeti throughout the journey. As you leave the central Serengeti, the landscape gradually changes from the open plains of the Seronera area to more rugged terrain, rocky kopjes, valleys and beautiful northern landscapes. Your experienced driver-guide will keep a close eye on the surroundings and make stops whenever wildlife is spotted. Northern Serengeti is particularly famous for the Great Migration, depending on the season and the location of the herds. You may encounter large groups of wildebeest and zebra moving through the ecosystem, together with resident wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles and antelopes. The region also offers excellent opportunities to see predators, including lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas. You will enjoy a picnic lunch along the way before continuing north with more game viewing. In the afternoon, you will arrive in the Northern Serengeti and proceed to your accommodation. After check-in, you will have time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the northern Serengeti before dinner. Day 4: Full-Day Northern Serengeti Game Drive
After an early breakfast at your accommodation, you will set out for a full-day game drive in Northern Serengeti with your experienced private safari guide. Northern Serengeti offers some of the most spectacular wildlife experiences in Tanzania. Depending on the season, this area can provide opportunities to witness the Great Migration, when thousands of wildebeest and zebra move through the northern part of the Serengeti ecosystem. Your guide will select the best areas for wildlife viewing based on the current animal movements. You may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebra, as well as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles and other wildlife. The northern Serengeti is also an excellent habitat for predators. During the game drive, you may have opportunities to see lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas, sometimes observing them hunting or resting near the plains and rocky kopjes. If wildlife movements and conditions allow, you may explore areas around the Mara River, a particularly important part of the ecosystem during the migration season. Your guide will explain the behavior of the animals and the importance of the river and surrounding landscape. You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a suitable designated location while surrounded by the beautiful Serengeti scenery. After lunch, you will continue with afternoon game viewing before gradually returning toward your accommodation. Later in the afternoon, you will return to camp for dinner and overnight, concluding a full and exciting day of wildlife exploration in Northern Serengeti. Day 5: Northern Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast at your accommodation in Northern Serengeti, you will begin your journey south toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Today combines a scenic transfer with en-route wildlife viewing, giving you another opportunity to enjoy the Serengeti before leaving the park. As you depart Northern Serengeti, your experienced safari guide will continue watching for wildlife along the route. You may encounter wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, gazelles and other animals moving across the plains. Depending on the season and the location of the herds, you may also see areas associated with the Great Migration. Your guide will explain the seasonal movements of the wildlife and the importance of the Serengeti ecosystem. You will continue south through the changing landscapes of Tanzania. As you approach the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the scenery gradually changes from the open Serengeti plains to rolling hills, forests and the dramatic highlands surrounding the Ngorongoro Crater. You will enjoy lunch along the way before continuing toward your accommodation in the Ngorongoro area. Later in the afternoon, you will arrive at your lodge or campsite, check in and have time to relax after the day's journey. The cool highland environment provides a pleasant contrast to the warmer Serengeti plains. Dinner will be served at your accommodation, and you will rest in preparation for the following day's Ngorongoro Crater game drive.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha / Kilimanjaro International Airport
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for your final game drive of the safari. The crater is one of Tanzania's most remarkable wildlife destinations and is home to a very high concentration of wildlife within its natural ecosystem. As you explore the crater floor, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffaloes, elephants, gazelles and hippos. The crater is also an excellent area for predator sightings, including lions and hyenas. With some luck, you may have the opportunity to see the endangered black rhinoceros. Your experienced safari driver-guide will take you through different areas of the crater while explaining the wildlife, environment and unique ecosystem. You will have plenty of opportunities for photography and to enjoy the spectacular scenery surrounding you. During the game drive, you will stop at a suitable picnic location for lunch before continuing with the final wildlife viewing inside the crater. Later in the afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and begin your journey toward Arusha. Depending on your onward travel arrangements and flight time, you can either be dropped off at your hotel in Arusha or transferred directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight. This marks the end of your 6-day Tanzania Wildlife Safari, filled with unforgettable wildlife encounters and spectacular landscapes.
