Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu | Journey into Kenya's Northern Wilderness
Your adventure begins in Nairobi, where your private safari driver-guide will meet you at your hotel, residence or agreed pick-up point.
Settle into your customized 4x4 Land Cruiser and travel north through Kenya's fertile central highlands. Along the way, enjoy beautiful countryside and, on clear days, views of the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya.
The landscape changes dramatically as you continue north, gradually becoming warmer, drier and more rugged as you approach Samburu National Reserve.
Arrive at your lodge or luxury tented camp for check-in and lunch.
Later in the afternoon, set out for your first game drive through this striking northern wilderness.
Samburu is particularly special because of the wildlife species found here that are rarely encountered in Kenya's southern reserves. Begin your search for Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich.
Elephants are also frequently encountered, particularly around the Ewaso Nyiro River, while lions, leopards and cheetahs add excitement to every game drive.
Return to your lodge or camp as the sun sets over the rugged landscape.

Day 2: Samburu | Rare Wildlife & Untamed Landscapes
Wake up surrounded by the quiet beauty of northern Kenya and enjoy breakfast before heading out for another day of exceptional wildlife viewing.
The Ewaso Nyiro River provides a vital source of water in this semi-arid environment, drawing elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes and predators toward its banks.
Spend the day searching for Samburu's signature wildlife, particularly the famous Samburu Special Five:
• Grevy's zebra
• Reticulated giraffe
• Gerenuk
• Beisa oryx
• Somali ostrich
Your guide will also look for lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes and the many other species that inhabit this unique ecosystem.
Depending on your preferred safari pace, enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with time in between to relax at your lodge, enjoy the views and soak up the atmosphere of the wilderness.
An optional cultural visit to a local Samburu community can also be arranged for guests interested in learning about Samburu traditions and daily life.
Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and your second night in the north.

Day 3: Samburu – Aberdare | From Arid Wilderness to Mountain Forest
After breakfast, leave the dry northern landscapes behind and travel south toward Kenya's lush central highlands.
Today's journey reveals just how dramatically Kenya's scenery can change within a relatively short distance. The semi-arid plains gradually give way to fertile farmland, rolling hills and dense mountain forest.
Arrive in the Aberdare region and continue to your forest accommodation.
This evening offers a completely different style of safari. Rather than searching for wildlife across open plains, settle into the peaceful surroundings of your lodge and watch for animals visiting nearby waterholes and salt licks.
Depending on your chosen accommodation and wildlife movements, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and other forest wildlife may appear from the surrounding vegetation.
The Aberdare ecosystem is also home to the elusive bongo antelope, one of Kenya's rarest large mammals, although sightings are uncommon.
Enjoy dinner and a quiet evening surrounded by cool mountain air and forest sounds.

Day 4: Aberdare – Thomson's Falls – Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, leave the forest behind and continue toward the Great Rift Valley.
Along the way, stop at Thomson's Falls in Nyahururu, where the Ewaso Narok River plunges approximately 74 metres into the gorge below. Take some time to enjoy the scenery and capture photographs before continuing your journey.
Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya's most important rhino conservation areas.
Enjoy a game drive through the park's acacia woodland, grasslands and lakeshore habitats in search of black and white rhinos, Rothschild's giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, waterbucks and other wildlife.
The lake is also home to impressive birdlife, including pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, herons and eagles. Flamingos may also be present, although their numbers vary depending on changing water and feeding conditions.
After your wildlife experience, continue the relatively short journey to Lake Naivasha, where you'll check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara | From the Lake to the Great Savannah
Begin your morning with one of the most relaxing experiences of the safari – a boat safari on Lake Naivasha.
Glide across the calm freshwater lake while watching hippos resting in the shallows and an impressive variety of birdlife along the shoreline.
Your boat journey takes you toward Crescent Island, where you'll leave the water behind and continue your adventure on foot.
Accompanied by a local guide, enjoy a walking safari through open grasslands inhabited by giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, waterbucks and antelopes. Walking quietly through this beautiful landscape offers a completely different connection with nature.
After your experience, continue your journey toward the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Arrive at your lodge or luxury tented camp and, time permitting, head out for an afternoon game drive.
The endless grasslands of the Mara immediately reveal why this is one of Africa's most celebrated safari destinations.
Return to your lodge or camp for dinner beneath the African sky.

Day 6: Maasai Mara | Big Five & Endless Savannah
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the magnificent Maasai Mara.
After breakfast, venture deeper into the reserve for an extensive game-viewing experience.
The Mara supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife throughout the year. Search for the Big Five alongside cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and numerous antelope species.
Your guide will use experience and recent wildlife movements to plan the day's route, giving you the best opportunities for rewarding sightings.
Depending on conditions, travel toward the Mara River, where hippos and enormous Nile crocodiles can often be seen.
During the Great Wildebeest Migration season, generally between July and October, vast herds move through the wider Maasai Mara–Serengeti ecosystem. The exact timing and location of the migration varies each year according to rainfall and grazing conditions.
Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive.
Return to your lodge or camp for your final evening in the wilderness.

Take in the sweeping landscape one last time before checking out and beginning your journey back to Nairobi.
Travel through Maasai country and the magnificent Great Rift Valley, with scenic and comfort stops along the way.
